The primary focus of my work for the past decade has been reviewing and interpreting employment contracts for all levels of employees, including senior executives. This includes wrongful dismissal litigation (including constructive dismissals and dismissals for cause), disputes involving attempts to enforce non-competition and non-solicitation clauses and human rights in the workplace.

Prior to practicing law, I worked in human resources departments, including five years at largem manufcaturer with responsibility for automotive and industrial clients in both Canada and the United States.

What I have found being on both sides of the employment law world is that many situations resulting in litigation could often have been avoided by more precisely defining obligations and rights or sometimes simply through updating policies.

My background has given me in-depth employment law knowledge that takes into account the realities of the modern workplace.

Working with the other experienced specialists at Emstrata Law gives us the opportunity to present options to clients and give them the best advice on how establish and maintain workplace standards that apply now and for the future.
